Description

The Conference theme of Meeting the Challenges to deploy Next Generation Advanced Reactors and SMRs will be addressed specifically as they pertain to Licensing these reactors in Canada. Lessons learned from licensing other power reactors in Canada as well as first of a kind facilities such as the Low and Intermediate Level Waste Deep Geologic Repository will be explored. The Canadian regulatory framework has been evaluated for its readiness in licensing these designs and the results will be presented.
