Optics programs at TRIUMF

  • 1. TRIUMF, Vancouver, BC (Canada)

Description

This paper presents the organisation of the programs that are presently used to study the optics of ring lattices at Triumf. In particular we show how we have integrated the new technologies of Differential Algebra map analysis and Lie algebra analysis with the more traditional method of particle tracking. A short comparison of the results obtained by the different methods is presented. The last paragraph gives results about the first practical application of these new techniques to our racetrack booster design. (author)
