Enhancements of the WASP model

Description

This paper describes the work that has been carried out by the National Polytechnical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Public Power Corporation of Greece (PPC) towards the development of an improved version of the WASP model. In particular, improvements are presented on the latest WASP-III Plus model, including additional features on the maintenance scheduling algorithm and representation of pumped storage plants in the model. In addition, a brief description of the POWEREX computer model for estimating the economic benefits of interconnected utilities is included. (author). 7 refs, 8 figs, 2 tabs
