Effect of some hemostatics in whole-body irradiated rats

Description

On the 12th day following whole-body 60Co irradiation of rats with a dose of 8.0 Gy the effect of twelve hemostatic preparations was tested: Hespidon (FRG), Intensian (FRG), Emex (Italy), Adrenoxyl (FRG), Clauden (FRG), Tachostyptan (FRG), Tachostyptan E (FRG), POR 8 (Switzerland), Glypresin (CSSR), Styptanon (Holland), Doxium (Switzerland) and Hemostipticum Revici (FRG). Of the 12 tested commercially produced hemostatic drugs after i. v. administration on the 12th day after whole-body irradiation of rats with 8.0 Gy, the Cliffton method showed a favourable effect on the post-irradiation disorder of hemostasis of Hespidon, Intensian, Doxium and Hemostipticum Revici.
