Yield distribution of fission fragments in the reaction 7Li+232Th and step towards spectroscopy of 134Xe

Description
Recently, several experiments have been carried out to probe the doubly magic nucleus 132Sn, having N=82 and Z=50 shell closure. In the present work, 134Xe having N=80 and Z=54 has been populated, which is in the vicinity of the N=82, Z=50 shell closure. So, the spectroscopy of such nucleus is of considerable interest to see the validity of shell model calculation in this region. In the present experiment, 7 new transitions were added to 134Xe. Prompt-delay coincidence technique was used to identify the prompt γ-rays above the isomer in 134Xe
