sup(99m)technetium-unithiol complex, a new pharmaceutical for kidney scintigraphy. Pt. 2

Description
Dynamic kidney scintigraphy was performed in 8 patients after administration of 197Hg-chlormerodrin or of a new complex: sup(99m)Tc-Unithiol. Kinetics of image formation and goodness of kidney imaging were studied both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results demonstrated that 1 1/2 - 3 hrs after i.v. administration of either compound equally good kidney scintigrams may be obtained. Clinical experience on more than 300 patients supports this conclusion (orig.)

Die dynamische Nierenszintigraphie wurde an 8 Patienten durchgefuehrt, nachdem diesen 197Hg-Chlormerodrin oder ein neuer Komplex - sup(99m)Tc-Unithiol - injiziert worden war. Die Kinetik der Bildgestaltung und die Qualitaet der Darstellung der Nieren wurde sowohl qualitativ als auch quantitativ untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass 1 1/2 - 3 Std nach der i.v. Injektion sowohl mit dem einen als auch dem anderen Radiopharmakon gleich gute Nierenszintigramme erzielt werden koennen. Klinische Erfahrungen an mehr als 300 Patienten bestaetigen diese Feststellung. (orig.)Additional details
