Pressure and field dependence of critical temperature on superconductivity of filled skutterudite YRu4P12

Description
We report the pressure dependence of critical temperature on superconductivity (Tc) of a filled skutterudite YRu4P12 by measuring magnetization and resistivity up to 2.4 and 8.0 GPa, respectively. We found that Tc is almost independent to pressure up to 2.4 GPa and it shows a gradual decrease in the pressure range of 4.0 to 8.0 GPa. The pressure derivative of Tc (dTc/dP) is −0.3 K/GPa in maximum and it is quite different from the (dTc/dP) ∼ 1.0 K/GPa of YFe4P12. This study experimentally clarified the negative pressure dependence of YRu4P12, which was predicted based on a full potential linearized augmented plane wave calculation. In addition, we report the magnetic field dependence of Tc of YRu4P12 shows μ0Hc2(0) ∼ 3.2 T which is lower than the Pauli limiting field of ∼14 T and suggests that YRu4P12 is a BSC-type superconductor.
