Effect of temperature on the extraction of uranium(VI) by 1.1M TiAP/n-Dodecane

Description
The extraction of uranyl nitrate from nitric acid by 1.1M triisoamyl phosphate/n-dodecane has been studied as a function of temperatures varying from 293 K to 333 K and nitric acid concentration varying from 0 to 6M. The enthalpies of extraction have been derived by the Second Law method and reported in this paper. The results are compared with the enthalpies of extraction of U(VI) by tributyl phosphate and tri n-amyl phosphate under similar conditions. (author)
