Description
In heavy ion reaction studies, the survival probability Psurv of compound nucleus (CN) is introduced to account for the emission of light particles (or neutrons) with respect to the fusion-fission process. For a fissionless decay, Psurv=1, and it can be estimated empirically as well as theoretically. In the following, It is defined for the first time on the basis of the dynamical cluster-decay model (DCM) of Gupta and collaborators. In DCM, the CN decay process of light particles (A2=1-4) emission, called evaporation residue (ER), and fusion-fission (ff), together with the non-compound nucleus (nCN) decay, like the quasi-fission (qf), is studied with the CN decay cross-section for each fragmentation η (= (A1-A2)/(A1 +A2)) at relative separation R, for ℓ partial waves
