Description
Japan Hadron Accelerator Research Complex, J-PARC, is a high-intensity proton accelerator complex now being built in Japan. The accelerator complex consists of a linac, a 3-GeV and a 50-GeV synchrotrons. The sciences to be conducted there as well as characteristics of the facilities, are introduced, with the emphasis on nuclear and particle physics at the 50-GeV facility. (author)
