Research with medium energy nuclear accelerators
Description
Medium energy nuclear accelerators are operational in places around the world for over a decade. A host of experimental data have already been generated, theoretical attempts have been made to interpret them, but a very clear insight into the properties of hot nuclear matter is still forthcoming. A brief overview of some of these areas of misty understanding like limiting temperature in finite nuclear systems, nuclear equation of state (EOS) and nuclear multifragmentation is given. 18 refs., 16 figs
