Indian Physics Association (IPA) Seminar on Nuclear Physics: Challenges and Opportunities was held at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay during June 1-3, 1994. The seminar consisted of a series of invited talks and have covered most of the emerging areas in nuclear physics. The topics discussed mainly dealt with the past and present nuclear physics research programs and identified future growth areas in nuclear physics. The areas covered included experimental facilities, available and projected, and studies on nuclear structure, particle decay modes, yrast decay, heavy ion reactions, quark models, QCD, accelerator technology, beam cooling, nuclear dynamics, Fermi theory, scattering, quark-gluon plasma, heavy ion collisions and superconductivity.
