Belleville Washer dampers used in seismic protection of equipment

Description

Seismic vibrations dampers becomes more and more used for seismic protection of equipment vulnerable to earthquake. This protective solution is successful applicable to any kind of electrotechnical and energetic devices (especially with high dimensions and weight), equipment mounted in electric or nuclear stations. This paper discusses a new type of damper with Belleville Washer designed in EUROTEST S.A. This study also contains the results and conclusions of seismic tests. (Author) 6 Figs., 4 Tabs., 3 Refs
