Preserving the advanced nuclear option in the face of uncertainty
Description
EPRI advanced reactor strategic program goal is to enable commercialization of advanced nuclear generation technology when and at scales needed. The approach is to establish collaborative research and leveraging of resources for impacts commensurate with those of the advanced light water reactor program and focus on activities that build on EPRI core strengths, owner-operator requirements, integration of risk and safety assessment in design, energy economics and market analysis and advanced materials and manufacturing.
