This report consists of 63 contributed papers of the Third Symposium on Advanced Photon Research, which was held at JAERI Advanced Photon Research Center in Kyoto on December 13-14, 2001. The numbers of special invited speeches, oral presentations and poster presentations were 5, 7 and 61, respectively. The 63 of the presented papers are indexed individually. (J.P.N.)
