Estimation of CMPO and TBP in the TRUEX solvent by gas chromatography

Description
A novel procedure for the estimation of OΦCMPO and TBP in the TRUEX solvent has been developed and is reported in this paper. The method involves reacting OΦCMPO with diazomethane to get a highly volatile derivative. Internal standard method was used for getting the calibration. A good correlation was observed for the response of both CMPO and TBP. The method is quick and easy to perform with conventional packed columns and can give a reliable estimate of the solvent composition before and after TRUEX processing. (author)
