Description
The development of new crystalline products is increasingly dependent on their structural characteristics which determine such properties as morphology, polymorphic form, purity and surface chemistry. This contribution reviews the application of intense X-ray available at the Synchrotron Radiation Source at Daresbury, UK to a range of crystallization phenomena. New insight is provided concerning the structure of the solution-crystal interface, the structural basis of habit modification and growth rate dispersion in crystallization from solution.
