Proceedings of a Symposium organized by the IAEA in co-operation with the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics and held in Vienna, 14-18 November 1966. The meeting was attended by 167 participants from 36 countries and 7 international organizations. Contents: Hydrometeorology, streamflow measurements (7 papers); Sediment studies (10 papers); Geochronology and environmental studies (10 papers); Aquifer characteristics (5 papers); Unsaturated zone, seepage, tracer technology (6 papers); Surface water, limnology, glaciology (3 papers). Each paper is in its original language (30 English, 9 French and 2 Russian) and is preceded by an abstract in English and one in the original language if this is not English.
