Magnetic properties in tetragonal antiferromagnet CeCoSi
- 1. Toyama Prefectural University, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Toyama (Japan)
Description
We examined La-substitution and magnetic field effects on CeCoSi by means of the electrical resistivity. Although the antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition temperature (TN) is suppressed by the La substitution, the upper critical field of the AFM ordered state is not so much suppressed as expected from a suppression of TN. Together with the local configuration of Ce sites, exchange interactions among 3rd neighboring Ce sites are essential to form the long-range ordering. (author)
