Description
Many nations are conducting activities to reduce the risks associated with Soviet Designed Nuclear facilities. As of early 1994, over 20 countries and international organizations have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars in financial assistance to improve safety. Lessons learned from these activities include the need to establish priorities for the projects, seek agreement on a projects with all parties, establish the infrastructure to do the projects, and establish transparent metrics for the success of the projects.
