Synthesis and structural studies of Mg stabilized zirconia by sol-gel route
- 1. Physical Metallurgy Division, Materials Characterization Group, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam (India)
Description
Mg stabilized zirconia was synthesized by sol-gel route and calcined at various temperatures. Powder X-ray diffraction was carried out for the phase identification and further structural studies by full profile fitting method. Morphology and crystal structure of the powders was studied employing conventional transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and found the powder in the nano meter range of size. (author)
