Carbon nanotube high-performance macromaterials: progress in assembly and roadmap for industrialisation
Description
Despite being around 30 years, carbon nanotubes have never been as important as today. They are already present in most lithium-ion batteries (LIB), added at about 5000 tons/year, and will enable the next generation LIBs, with nearly a two-fold increase in energy density. They may also be key enablers of the worldwide production of turquoise hydrogen made from methane with negligible CO2 emission and CNTs as the C sink, provided CNT macromaterials can outperform metal conductors and conventional structural materials
