Advanced Materials-99

The sixth international symposium on Advanced Materials was held in Islamabad, Pakistan from 19th to 23rd. The main topics of the symposium covered processing and development, fabrication techniques, surface engineering, compatibility and performance, mathematical modeling and numerical techniques. The topics of symposium were organized in 14 oral and 2 poster sessions, whereas 12 keynotes and 63 oral lectures were presented and 211 posters were discussed; in all about 275 papers were presented by 61 foreign and 196 local participants. The papers appearing in this book are likely to be helpful tool to meet the requirement and interest of the researchers. Several research papers were included on surface engineering, ceramics polymers, composites materials study of new materials etc. as well as on materials processed through chemical technology including environmental effects. A total of 117 papers, after review and revision are published in this issue. (A.B)
